The Latest

I'm ashamed that it's been about three months since my last post. Thankfully, those of you who may check in on a semi-regular basis through this blog know me, and probably know what I've been up to anyway!

For starters, I'm just a few days shy of 30 weeks pregnant. Oh goodness. Work has been very busy lately and will be through the beginning of October. Ten weeks is not enough time to accomplish what I need to before this little bambino graces us with his presence. I had these grand plans to make my own crib bedding. I came to grips a few weeks back that this just wasn't going to happen. So, I bit the bullet and went with this design...

I did not order the floor to ceiling animal print curtains. That was a bit much for me. I decided to make my own out of the aqua color. Surely I can handle that. Last weekend I started to paint the nursery (don't worry, the man at Home Depot told me it was okay to paint. Something about low VOC...I don't know. I keep the windows open and the fan blowing. We'll be okay.). But, Cody also choose that weekend to start staining our fence. Let's just say neither project has been completed yet. Hopefully we'll finish staining this weekend and then can move on to painting.

I've also recently discovered Pinterest. I have been pinning like crazy and have tons of things on my Craft board that I'd love to get to one of these days. But seriously, if you're not already using Pinterest, start. Start now. And I'll follow you and steal all of your super crafty ideas.

We're getting settled in here in Topeka. Cody is enjoying his new school and his football team has won their first two games. That also means I am, once again, a Friday Night Widow. But make that a Thursday and Friday Night Widow as his freshman play on Thursdays and then Varsity on Fridays.
